Our Core Team
President & Founder - Chris Miranda
The Refugee Association of Logan Inc. (RAL) was founded by Chris Miranda in response to a large arrival of asylum seekers to Australian shores in 2013. Recently retired from a 50-year career in the education sector, Chris bought him with a long-standing commitment to community service, having volunteered as a police officer, athletics coach, Rotarian and St Vincent de Paul member across 25 of those years. Motivated by a strong instinct to support the newly arrived, Chris established RAL with a group of like-minded people to help refugees and asylum seekers settle and build a new life in Logan.
